Even with a smaller roofing project, there can be many factors to consider. These photos show some great detail of a roofing project we just completed for a client in West Seattle. This particular job involved two types of roofing methods (torch down and shingles) as well as requiring new sheeting and carpentry work to replace the rotted curbing around the skylights. You can see that new 1/2 inch CDX plywood was laid down over the old skip sheeting. When reviewing competing roof bids, make sure that you clarify what type of sheeting will be going down. Some roofing companies may choose a cheaper option with OSB sheeting – be advised that the CDX plywood is far superior. At Haider Construction, we always make sure that you understand the options on your roof bid, and will advise you on the best value in roofing materials.
